InstaCure Guardian is a UV curable liquid coating that adds four unique and desirable benefits: fire retardancy, anti-microbial, mold prevention and anti-graffiti/stain resistance. InstaCure Guardian is one of the first UV curable liquid coatings for the digital print industry that passed rigorous ASTM and DIN laboratory tests measuring its ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria and mold, and prevent flame spread without the use of heavy metals and can be used for public space clients like restaurants, hospitals, malls, airports, schools and hotels on a variety of materials like digital wall coverings, menus and table top graphics.

Fire-Retardant 

InstaCure Guardian performed excellently in independent flame suppression tests, preventing the spread of flame within the rigorous 701 Fire Test and California Code Title 19 standards and passing DIN and ASTM standards for flame suppression.

Anti-Microbial and Mold Prevention

With the increasing consumer awareness of the bacteria present in public places, antimicrobial products are one of the fastest growing segments in this sluggish economy.2 In independent laboratory tests, UV and solvent ink printed samples coated with InstaCure Guardian inhibited more than 99% of bacteria growth and received the highest rating in mold growth prevention tests. 

InstaCure Guardian utilizes TSCA and CONEG compliant raw materials registered with the FDA and EPA, and InstaCure Guardian passed JIS Z 2801, AATCC Method 147(inhibition) and AATCC Method 100 (kill) tests demonstrating both inhibition and kill with no growth or pathogen survival where the coating came in contact with micro-organisms. The testing was conducted by an independent microbiology laboratory that is ISO/IES 17025 accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). INSTACURE GUARDIAN IS NOT EPA OR FDA REGISTERED HOWEVER, AND DRYTAC® MAKES NO CLAIMS THAT INSTACURE GUARDIAN PROTECTS AGAINST ILLNESS.

Anti-Graffiti

Guardian has excellent resistance to stains, most solvents, and aerosol or enamel sprays paints. Graphics coated with InstaCure Guardian can be cleaned with a non-acetone cleaner.
