The Ontario Hockey League club partnered with Drytac and Rinkboards™ to produce seamless, high-impact rink board graphics at the CAA Centre.
The Brampton Steelheads, a prominent member of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), recently upgraded their Field of Play advertising using Drytac’s Polar Premium RB90 removable print media paired with Interlam Pro Matte. The combination delivered clean, durable, full-size rink board graphics without seams—an essential requirement in professional sports environments.
To produce the 30″ x 96″ (762 mm x 2438 mm) dasher board advertisements, the Steelheads worked with Rinkboards™—part of the TC Intergraphics Decal, and a leading specialist in Field of Play Marketing. Media width proved critical to the project’s efficiency. Polar Premium RB90 at 62″ (1575 mm) and Interlam Pro Matte at 61″ (1549 mm) allowed the team to output full-coverage graphics without paneling or material waste.
Another key requirement was removability. Hockey is an aggressive, high-impact sport; even with a strong protective laminate, Rinkboards™ graphics are regularly struck by pucks and sticks during gameplay. A printable media with a removable adhesive ensured that damaged panels could be replaced quickly without harming the dasher system surface, and seasonal or sponsor updates could be handled efficiently.
The arena environment also demanded a material that performs reliably in cold conditions. Polar Premium RB90’s low application temperature of -4˚F (-20˚C) made installation at the rink straightforward and dependable for the production team.
Graphics were printed by Rinkboards on their digital commercial press, delivering sharp colour reproduction and brand consistency across all partner ads. Installation was completed by Rinkboards™ local installers.
