ViziPrint Impress Clear features Drytac’s low-tack hybrid adhesive technology, which creates a strong bond and easy-removability in both high and low temperatures.

Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets, is delighted to announce the global availability of its improved ViziPrint Impress Clear UVL film.

ViziPrint Impress Clear UVL is an optically clear gloss PET printable film designed for trouble-free installation of graphics onto glass and other smooth, flat surfaces. It incorporates Drytac’s low tack hybrid adhesive technology, creating a strong bond in both high and low temperatures without leaving residue behind when removed.

Drytac has now incorporated a new thinner face film, which makes the media easier to work with. Compatible with UV and Latex printing, ViziPrint Impress Clear UVL uses a mechanical bond to gently adhere images to surfaces and can be repositioned and reapplied multiple times. Drytac’s unique adhesion technology eliminates bubbling and ensures the product is unaffected by moisture.

PVC-free, 100% recyclable and resistant to both wear and tear and water, ViziPrint Impress Clear UVL can be used to create vibrant and stunning prints for both indoor and outdoor use, including graphics for window advertisements and screen displays, as well as eye-catching stickers on white goods.

Drytac promotes Amanda Lowe to Global Marketing Director

Amanda Lowe joined Drytac in March of 2017 and has served in a number of key marketing roles within the business.

Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets, is delighted to announce the promotion of Amanda Lowe (formerly Amanda Brown) to the position of Global Marketing Director.

Amanda takes on the new role having served as Drytac’s Global Marketing Manager since January 2019, having joined the company in 2017 as Marketing Coordinator. During her time at Drytac, she has played a major role in the full re-branding of the business, working closely on Drytac’s new website, data sheets, literature, videos, guides and social media channels.

Amanda also launched the popular Drytac Blog, posting informative and educational articles every month, as well as the Case Study program, with more than 70 pages of case studies now being available to view on the Drytac website.

In addition, Amanda manages and executes Drytac’s participation at trade shows around the world, while she also works with the sales team to run other events and open houses, offering customers greater insight into Drytac and its range of market leading solutions.

Prior to joining Drytac, Amanda worked full time in merchandising within the retail sector. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management, majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Design, from Virginia Tech.

Daniel Farias will be based at Drytac’s North American manufacturing and production facility as support to quality control, technical sales, operations, production coating, converting and product management.

Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets, is delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Farias as Technical Engineer with immediate effect.

Based at Drytac’s specialist factory facility in North America, Daniel’s new role is to support the business with technical sales support and product management. He will also take a lead role in all aspects of quality assurance including continual improvements, technical data sheets, external audits and quality implementation.

Daniel brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge, having previously worked in a quality assurance position within the tapes and adhesives sector. In this role, Daniel implemented various new systems to improve production and workflow across the business.

He also worked in an operations supervisor role for a specialist marine transport company in his native Venezuela. Here, Daniel was critical to ensure the quality of the products and services delivered to customers.

Daniel holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, has been educated in both Venezuela and the US, and is fluent in both Spanish and English.

“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to join the group as Technical Engineer,” Daniel says. “Drytac is the leading brand in self-adhesive materials, and I look forward to working with the team.”

Drytac expands Polar range with two new easy to apply solutions in North America

Drytac Polar Transit Air and Drytac Polar Smooth 150 Air are suitable for a wide range of differing graphics applications.

Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets, has expanded its Polar® range of printable media with two new solutions for the North American market: Polar Transit Air and Polar Smooth 150 Air.

Polar® Transit Air

With excellent opaque characteristics, the 3.2 mil (80μ) premium, matte white polymeric self-adhesive PVC Polar® Transit Air is suitable for smooth, flat or simple curve surfaces such as sports arena boards, commercial vehicles and indoor and outdoor display signage.

As well as incorporating Drytac’s bubble-free technology for an easy install, it has a removable pressure-sensitive adhesive that allows for field installation in cold weather without the need for wet application techniques.

Polar Transit Air has a high quality, removable grey acrylic adhesive that is protected with a 90# PE coated kraft bubble free release liner. It can be combined with a matching overlaminate – Drytac Weathershield™ – to achieve maximum life expectancy of up to 7 years outdoors.

It is available in rolls of 150 feet and in widths of up to 60.5 inches.

Polar® Smooth 150 Air

This 6-mil (150μ), self-adhesive white polymeric printable matte PVC film with removable bubble-free air egress adhesive technology is designed for graphics that need to be easily installed and removed without the need for lamination. It is suitable for numerous applications such as temporary construction hoardings, point of sale applications, interior décor applications – including the installation of graphics onto windows, walls, melamine and glass – as well as most other flat or simple curve surfaces.

Dimensionally stable, Polar® Smooth 150 Air is phthalate-free, can be applied without stretching or tearing, and is cleanly removable. It is coated with a pressure-sensitive, removable aqueous acrylic adhesive protected by a 90# PE coated kraft bubble free release paper.

Available in rolls of 150 feet and in widths of up to 60 inches, the product has a life expectancy of up to 5 years outdoors.

Drytac set for major FESPA 2022 presence with sponsorship of Printeriors and Sustainability Spotlight zones

Taking place from 31 May to June 3 at the Berlin Messe in Berlin, Germany, FESPA 2022 will host leading names from the global printing industry and welcome visitors from all corners of the market.

Drytac will be among the major brands at the show, with its materials set to feature on a range of stands run by printing and hardware manufacturer partners including Epson, Mutoh, and Keencut, allowing visitors to see the market-leading qualities of these materials up close.

SteriTac can now be purchased in cut A4 sheet packs online via Amazon, making the film available to the wider consumer marketplace for the first time.

Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets, has announced the rebranding of its market-leading Protac AMP adhesive antimicrobial clear surface protection film as SteriTac.

SteriTac will continue to be supplied with specially developed Microban®antimicrobial technology, embedded into the film during the manufacturing process, helping to prevent the growth of bacteria, mould and mildew that can cause stains and odours.

The renamed SteriTac film continues to provide 24/7 protection on a wide range of surfaces for up to 15 years, while the flexibility and hard-wearing nature of the film means that cutting or intense cleaning will not impact its unmatched antimicrobial properties. SteriTac antimicrobial surface protection film is also effective against Coronavirus (tested to ISO 21702) and surfaces with SteriTac are 99.9% cleaner than unprotected surfaces.

Drytac Polar Choice White was initially rolled out across the UK and European markets in February of last year, but distribution will now be expanded across the globe. Available with a gloss or matte finish and featuring a permanent gray adhesive, the 3.2 mil (80μ) film maximizes adhesive performance on a wide variety of substrates.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications – with durability of up to 5 years – the films are ideal for flat signage and general advertising applications, including windows, POP displays, stickers and decals.

The films are compatible with Latex, UV and Eco-Solvent printing technology. Offering high levels of reliability and flexibility, they also carry the Class C-s1, d0 (EN 13501-1) fire rating, further ratifying their safe usage in multiple environments.
