At Drytac, adhesives aren’t just something we do – they are our specialty. For almost five decades, we have been developing unique adhesive technologies to tackle a wide range of application challenges. From short-term promotional graphics to robust industrial solutions, our products are engineered for purpose, precision and performance.
When it comes to adhesives, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. It’s not as simple as contacting your supplier and asking for “the usual” for every job.
While some projects may be similar to those you’ve handled before, most will require a fresh look at their specific adhesion requirements. We recommend treating every project as unique. Just because a product worked well previously doesn’t mean it will perform the same way again. Take a step back, consider the project as a whole, and explore your options before moving forward.
Here’s a guide to some of the main adhesive types available from Drytac:
Removable Adhesives

Ideal for short-term applications such as retail graphics, promotions and seasonal campaigns. Products like Polar Smooth 150 Air R feature an air release liner for easy installation and can typically be removed cleanly within 6–12 months without leaving residue or damaging the surface underneath.
Permanent Adhesives

Permanent adhesives are designed for long-term applications both indoors and outdoors. Standard permanent products, such as Polar Premium Air, are ideal for general signage, wall, window and other flat, smooth surface applications. For more demanding jobs, specialty permanent adhesives with a high coat weight – such as Polar Grip Air – provide strong adhesion to rough or textured surfaces like brick or concrete.
ReTac (Permanently Peelable Adhesives)

Standard removable adhesives can turn permanent after around 12 months; however, this is not the case with ReTac. We have engineered a range of products that can be removed cleanly – even years later – without leaving residue or damaging the surface. This makes ReTac an ideal choice for high-visual-impact applications such as wall décor, where flexibility and clean removal are essential.
SpotOn (Dot Pattern Adhesives)

Our SpotOn range uses a unique dot pattern design for easy, dry, bubble-free application. This engineered adhesive technology is perfect when clean removability is essential, such as for window graphics or promotional decals, and it enables quick installation without specialist tools.
Cold Weather Adhesives

Drytac offers several cold weather adhesives engineered for installation in temperatures as low as –20˚C (–4˚F), such as the popular Polar Grip, Polar Smooth 150 Air R/P, andPolar Premium ranges. These solutions are ideal for outdoor graphics in winter or unheated environments. For best results, materials should be stored at room temperature until installation to prevent brittleness and make handling easier.
Hot Melt Adhesives

Applied in a heated liquid state, these pressure-sensitive adhesives offer strong bonding and quick tack. Drytac’s hot melt range is a go-to for projects that demand a robust, long-lasting hold, such as industrial graphics and heavy-duty signage.
The takeaway? There’s an adhesive solution for every project – but selecting the right one is critical to achieving the best results.
