While the holiday season may indeed be a time for celebrations and festivities, it also brings with it a whole host of work for print service providers (PSPs), much of which is required faster than other jobs throughout the year. From pop-up shows and festive retail displays to seasonal sales and holiday-themed events, there is plenty going on to keep printers busy in the lead up to and during the Christmas period.
With tight deadlines leaving no room for complicated installs or sticky clean-ups, PSPs are seeking materials that create instant visual impact while keeping installation and removal simple. That’s even more true when you consider that most of these projects are temporary—usually coming down again faster than you can say, “pass the turkey.”
Temporary installations don’t have to be challenging for PSPs. Drytac’s media is engineered for outstanding visual performance, simple application, clean removal, and quick changeovers.
SpotOn
As the festive season approaches, the SpotOn range stands out for its ability to create high-quality, easy-to-apply displays. It’s ideal for short-term uses like POP promotions and retail signage.

Within this collection are SpotOn White and SpotOn Clear, both of which are simple, peel-and-apply films with a bubble-free dot pattern, ideal for fast turnaround festive displays. For example, AutoTrim & Signs of Niagara used SpotOn media to create a festive-themed window display for top chocolate brand Hershey’s.

Graphics, wraps and signage provider Capital INK Branding Solutions used another material from the same family – SpotOn White M50 monomeric PVC film – to create an eye-catching Christmas window display for US retail chain Macy’s. SpotOn White M50 offers 50% greater opacity than standard SpotOn White, making it ideal for applications where higher coverage is needed. Its enhanced opacity allows users to layer graphics over various surfaces without any show-through.
For those working with environmentally conscious customers on holiday projects, Drytac has another option in the form of SpotOn SynTac. This PVC-free window and wall graphic media is available in white matte and clear matte finishes and is both easy to install and cleanly removable within 12 months—perfectly suited to the fast-paced nature of the season.
ReTac
Also from Drytac is the ReTac family of permanently peelable adhesive materials, all of which have been designed for high-impact, repositionable graphics. Within this range, ReTac Textures is an embossed wallcovering film that is available in sand, linen and canvas finishes, adding depth and visual interest to wall graphics or photo backdrops.

ReTac Smooth 150, a polymeric PVC film that enables users to install, remove and reposition graphics without leaving residue on the surface. K6 Media put the material to the test, producing a variety of banners, murals, and labels for the Salvation Army’s Toy Mountain campaign in Ottawa, Canada.
Polar

Elsewhere, the aptly named Polar Range features several products suitable for specialty and outdoor projects during the chilly festive months. Examples of solutions include Polar Grip Air, a high-tack film with air-release technology for challenging surfaces such as plastics and low-energy panels, and Polar Frost Air, a premium translucent matte polymeric film with a subtle embossed finish simulating the elegant look of etched glass – perfect for that festive window décor. Polar Premium products are also ideal for everyday general signage, stickers, and decals, offering dependable adhesion and consistent print quality across a wide range of applications.
ViziPrint
Finally, for those eye-catching window displays that draw in Christmas shoppers in the final weeks—or even days—before the big day, Drytac’s ViziPrint range delivers high-end films that make a lasting impression.

Vancouver-based Premier Graphics used ViziPrint Impress Clear film from this collection to produce a striking festive-themed window graphic for a local skincare business. The Drytac Academy used the same material to create a magical snowy window display at The Loft, a contemporary concept store in the historic city of Bath, England.

With the holiday season being such an important part of the year for printers, they cannot afford to waste time with complicated installations and tricky clean-ups.
